Signs of spring are everywhere. We see new growth in our gardens as well as new businesses in our community and members to the Chamber. In the month of March we have scheduled two ribbon cuttings to celebrate two merchants deciding to set up storefronts in Escalon. We see empty spaces being filled and lots of energy about working where we promote Think Escalon First.
A big thank you goes to the City for holding a Business Summit Workshop. Leaders shared what is coming to our neighborhood along with the state of ongoing projects. The attendees asked questions, got answers and shared concerns. All in all a very successful event we hope gets repeated on a regular basis.
The Wine Stroll is coming up soon. A Night With the Stars will be held on Friday, April 26th. Annie Gallagher has lots of fun things planned for the evening and Maggie Martinez has been collecting great prizes for the Treasure chest. Once again, tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 and at the door for $30. We appreciate our sponsors and the wineries who always ask to be a part of this evening.
Please support the new businesses in town by attending the Ribbon Cuttings scheduled for March 21st at Le Boucherie, 130 Main Street and on March 28th at Prudential Office, 1410 California St. We would enjoy celebrating with you if you are in a new space, redecorated, or are new to town. We bring huge gold scissors, ribbon and the Miss Escalon Court to help with the celebration.
Want to help a local merchant receive a scholarship to help continuing Education? We are forming a committee with the intent to give our first scholarship this fall. Contact the Chamber if you have an interest in this committee.
