True Confession Time....

True confession time.  I have a real passion for education as many of my former students will attest to.  As I explore adding an additional tract to my business activities, I have been doing reading on the subject of networking and its power.  One of the first steps suggested for marketing yourself or your business is to get involved in some group where businesses support other businesses.  Joining a

Chamber is always suggested as the perfect starting place.  One of the first comments I hear is that it is too expensive to join and we have an adequate number of customers.  I would like to challenge that concept by checking out Escalon’s Fees, deductible of course, and if you have plenty of business, how about sharing your expertise with a new small business owner in town.  In growing the merchant base, everyone wins because more places to shop brings more people to shop.

My challenge to you is to step out of your comfort zone, get involved in the Chamber and let’s make this town a destination for people traveling up and down Highway 120.

Our favorite Spring activity is the Chamber’s Wine Stroll which is scheduled for Friday, April 24th 5:30 - 8:30. Experience great wineries, hors d’oeuvers, music along with our famous treasurer chest and Wine game

This adults only is our largest fund raiser of the year as well as great way to enjoy downtown Escalon.

Tickets are available online through our website, www.escalonchamberofcommerce.org, pre-event $25.00 - day of $30.00.

First Sunday in the Park is May 7th - Activities for kids and vendor spots open for local merchants.  The Caboose will be open to explore.

Don’t forget there are barbecue pits that you can use to create your own family picnic.  Barbecues were donated by local service clubs.

As Always, Think Escalon!
