It was a blustery afternoon in mid February. As I drove to check out our Chamber mailbox, I saw two ladies sitting at a table in the park with picnic basket and table cloth, another table with a small family and a young man chasing a frisbee. These are signs that Spring is close and new energy is in the wind. Your Chamber too is feeling new energy as we start our Ambassador program. Our plan is to first contact all current members to see about their concerns and needs from the Chamber. Our Ambassador, Sandy Girard, and I will be visiting together as we grow our team. If you are interested in becoming an ambassador please contact the chamber’s website. You will have the opportunity to meet new businesses and help them launch a successful ribbon cutting or mixer/coffee.
As we visit businesses in the area, we will also be sharing information on our Professional Development Scholarship. Information is on our website. Also on the website is a very easy application to join or renew your Chamber membership.
The date for the Wine Stroll has been finalized to May 13th 5:30 - 8:30 with the theme of Country Western. Hopefully this will bring us less chancy weather. The team is working to make some additions to the evening as well. Watch the website and Facebook for updates. There is always a need for additional team members, and if that is you, please contact us.
Somewhere around 2 AM on a Sunday morning I heard a loud pop and the sound of water gushing. Outside a PVC pipe had broken and I had a geyser of water in my front yard. Fortunately, I was able to stem that, but still had a small amount of water still flowing all day Sunday. Monday morning I texted Robert of Swift Lawn and Garden and he had someone here in less than 45 minutes to solve my problem. Thank you for wonderful service from a fellow Chamber member.
Please support fellow merchants and as Always Think Escalon First!
