Together We Can Achieve So Much

It seems that this time of year begins to get a little crazy for all of us.  I became more aware of this while looking through the events on the Chamber’s events page the other day.  Right now there are teams working on the Wine Stroll for May 13th, Sundays in the Park, and Park Fete along with Ribbon Cutting/Mixers planned over the next couple of months.  It is truly amazing how much can be done when a committee works together.

Things You Can Do:

  • Join or renew chamber membership
  • Visit the Chamber’s website
  • Find applications for membership and events here
  • Like Facebook pages to know up to date information
  • Escalon Chamber of Commerce
  • Escalon Wine Stroll
  • Escalon Park Fete
  • Escalon Park Fete Run
  • Attend Chamber Meetings, Mixers and Ribbon Cuttings
  • Volunteer to help with events

Robert Swift and I met with Tammy Alcantor and Dominique Romo of the City to go over the changes to the ordinance that will make it much easier to participate in local events if you have a home-based business. Thank you for making this happen.

It is an interesting time when all of Escalon’s community events begin planning for the actual event. With a new team in place, the Wine Stroll has a fantastic Facebook page updating regularity to showcase sponsorships and participants.  Be sure to like the page so you too will be getting the updates.  Believe it or not Park Fete has already had its first two meetings, and your Chamber has great ideas in place for the Children’s Corral which we sponsor.  The Chalk Art Contest will now be located inside this area and will run for two days.  Stay tuned to read about more fun things to do while attending.

Tea and Trumpets sponsored by the Chamber was highly successful and will allow two scholarships for the Arts.  Thanks to Sonya Huff and Debbie Murken for chairing and bring the various parts to fruition.  Make sure to watch for it next year.

Enjoy each day as we as always, Think Escalon First.
