Let's Grow Our Small Businesses Together


One of the goals of the Escalon Chamber of Commerce is to promote business in our community.  While there are many businesses that have been staples in the community for years, we often see a small business with a great idea start up only to close down several months later.  Many young businesses fail because they haven’t done the homework necessary to reach their dreams and goals. The Escalon Chamber of Commerce will be holding the first Brown Bag Lunch workshops on March 7, 2018 at noon in the Escalon Branch Library.   The focus of this workshop will be to introduce small businesses and entrepreneurs to practices to help them succeed in business.  Bill Robinson of Principal Finance, Chuck Smith of Big Ape Bookkeeping and Tax Service and Lance Johnson of Farmers Insurance will share ideas on how knowledge in these three areas is important to successful businesses.  In the future we will have speakers  on social media, the importance of a business plan, networking and other relevant issues.  If you have questions, call the Chamber at 209-838-2793.

We have had a good response to our membership drive after sending out invoices to existing businesses and appreciate their prompt response.  Some of you may have missed the emailed invoice and we encourage you, if you have not paid your 2018 membership dues yet, to go to the website www.escalonchamberofcomerce.org  and renew or join the Chamber today.    It is a very simple procedure and by taking this action, we are able to post and promote your events on our Facebook page.

Announcing the Tea and Trumpets Fundraiser! An Old Fashioned Garden Tea Party. Sat March 10th, 2018 11am-1pm. Presented by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce. This is a great event for little girls, big girls and even DADDYS! And for a good cause. This event helps support scholarships at EHS for an ART and MUSIC student with the proceeds of this Garden Tea Party. Make a Memory, Sample Tea, Eat Snacks, Desserts, Best Hat Contest, Raffles and Music. Let me know how many tickets you need. Tickets are just $10 each. Reserve a private Garden area booth for an additional $100 and receive a private server for your group.
