By submitting your application (below) you are accepting the rules and regulations the rules and regulations of the Escalon Farmers’ Market.

Note: **Typical spaces are a 10X10 Booth, you must provide your own pop up, lighting, and tables. **

A limited number of spots MAY have the ability to park a vehicle behind the space. These spots are limited and are evaluated on greatest need, on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee of parking adjacent to your spot.

All vendors must fill out an application to sell products at the Escalon Farmer’s Market and submit to The Farmer’s Market Committee for approval. Each booth must display all required permits, certificates, licenses, and vendor name, in their booth, at each market they attend.

  1. The Farmer’s Market Committee must approve of items for sell. We do not allow Solicitors at the Market. The Market also does not allow MLM Vendors. The main focus of the Escalon Farmer’s Market is to promote small and home-based businesses. We encourage homemade, home grown, and small business produced items.

  2. A Vendor who would like to sell any commodity not listed on the vendor’s original application must first inform the Market Manager, who must approve of the sale of such new commodity before it may be brought to any market. Vendors will be required to remove all unapproved commodities from their booth. These rules are established to protect the Market and its licensing.

  3. All food vendors must turn in the Temporary Food Vendor form provided by the Escalon Farmer’s Market. The Escalon Farmer’s market is providing the Health Licensing for the Market. All food vendors must adhere to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Permit’s standards. Any vendor who does not will be asked to leave the Farmer’s Market.

  4. The Farmer’s Market Committee sets limits on the number of vendors selling a particular product or commodity. No vendor will be given exclusive right to sell a commodity or product at the Market. The Committee in its sole discretion will determine the number of vendors who may sell the same product or commodity in accordance with seasonal variations and customer demand. If a sufficient number of

vendors are already selling a particular item or group of items, the vendor may request to be added to a waiting list for future availability to sell such product. We want to support growth and encourage sells of goods; it is in vendors best interest to limit number of repeat booths with similar products.

  5. If a vendor is unable to attend a market, he/she must contact the Market Manager in advance. A lot of time and planning goes into mapping the market and promoting, please alert the Farmer’s Market Manager of cancellations. Fees are not required to be returned to vendor if they miss a market.

  6. The EFM is required to close the street for the Market. Street Closures are dictated by the City of Escalon. The Market hours are 5pm to 8pm. The street closes at 3pm. All vendors MUST be set up 15 minutes prior to the market opening. This is for safety reasons. If you need more time to set up your booth please let the Market manager know ahead of time.

  7. All food vendors cooking on site must have an approved Fire Extinguisher at each market.

  8.  Market Booth Protocol:

Closing Statement:

The Escalon Chamber of Commerce would like to remind all members that it holds regular Board meetings to discuss all matters of market business. If a vendor has any grievances, suggestions, safety issues, commodity additions or any other concerns please contact the Market Manager, or a committee member about having the item placed on the Chamber Meeting Agenda. If a vendor is unable to attend the next board meeting, the vendor’s concern should be submitted in writing and given to the Market Manager or Committee Member for presentation at the next meeting.
